A New Display

Visual Storytelling at a Crossroads

For Kraków Photomonth 2016 I created a graphical map to accompany the group exhibition A New Display: Visual Storytelling at a Crossroads (2016). The map and an article were part of the festival publication The (Un)becomings of Photography; on Reaggregating and Reassembling the Photographic and its Institutions (2016) which was edited by Lars Willumeit.

Mapping Visual Storytelling

I assembled an appendix to the exhibition A New Display for Kraków Photomonth 2016. The map operates as a graphical indication of trends and movements in visual storytelling methods employed by documentary photographers in recent years. The interlinkage of 20 selected projects is an attempt to outline and illuminate the dynamics in this field.
